Covid Relief for Alma Montuno.
Alma Montuno Dance Studio has been an active part of New Jersey dance community for the past 18 years. Alma Montuno is owned and operated by Elvis Ruiz, who is not only a dance instructor but also an active community member. Alma Montuno is one of the only dance studios located in the Dunellen New Jersey area. Elvis believes in the power of dance music, dance and its ability to bring people together.
These are trying times for many of us and salsa community is no exception. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Alma Montuno has been forced to close its doors to protect their students, their extended families and community. Although all classes have been suspended, cost requirements to maintain the business remains. They are looking to raise funds to help pay rent, utilities and bills through this required closure, so we can have a fighting chance to keep the business running for years to come. Elvis uses his passion for dance to enrich the lives of many people in the community, often participating in volunteer activities in the community as well, sharing his gift of dance.
